Delhi to Host South Asian Neurologists' Congress

Nearly 600 neurosurgeons from south Asia along with renowned specialists from the US, Britain, Germany, Japan, Australia, and Canada are meeting in the Indian capital to discuss several health concerns related to brain.

During the meet beginning February 15, they would discuss latest developments and future trends in the treatment of brain tumors, hemorrhage, crania vertebral anomalies and peripheral nerve surgeries.

Besides speaking on the recent advances in interventional neuro radiology and endovascular neuro surgery, the experts will also deliberate on ethics and training in the medical practices of the field.

Vice-president B.S. Shekhawat would inaugurate the three-day congress at the India Habitat Centre here February 15.

Nearly 600 neurosurgeons from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Kuwait would be actively participating in the conference, said a statement of the Neurological Society of India.

Neurology legends like Majid Sami, Arnold Menenzes from the US, Takeshi Kawase from Japan, Andrew Kaye from Australia, James Bryne and Robin Sen from Britain would also participate.
