Q. What is MD Consult Mobile?
A. MD Consult Mobile is a browser based version of MD Consult with an interface that is optimized for the small screen. MD Consult Mobile is a web-based and not a downloadable app, which ensures the most current information.

Q. Who can access MD Consult Mobile?
A. All individuals who have purchased a personal subscription as well as individuals who access MD Consult through their institutional site license have free access to MD Consult Mobile.

Q. How can I access MD Consult Mobile?
A. For individuals who have purchased a personal subscription: Access MD Consult Mobile at m.mdconsult.com or mobile.mdconsult.com through your web browser on your mobile device. Your username and password is the same as your desktop access.
For individuals with access through an institutional site license subscription: Before accessing MD Consult Mobile through your smartphone, you will need to set up a free personal account from a computer within your institution (step-by-step instructions are listed under "How do I login if I have an institutional subscription and do not have a login�). Once an account is established, you can access MD Consult Mobile at m.mdconsult.com or mobile.mdconsult.com through your web browser on your mobile device. Your username and password will be the same as you set up for your personal account. Users do not need to be on an institution�s network, access MD Consult Mobile anywhere you have an internet connection.

Q. What content is available on MD Consult Mobile?
A. Depending on your institutional or personal account, MD Consult Mobile currently offers the content areas of: Quick Reference Topics, Books, Journals/ MEDLINE®, The Clinics, Guidelines, and Images.

Q. What MD Consult functionality is included?
A. MD Consult Mobile allows users to: Browse content through the Quick Reference Topic pages which direct the user to best resources efficiently. Search MD Consult reference content focused specifically on reference books, Clinics, practice guidelines, and journals/Medline®. View full-text of all of the searchable content plus images included in the articles and books. Share content links by email with a colleague or send to yourself for later review
Q. What mobile devices and operating systems are supported? A. Many devices are supported such as the iPhone8 /iTouch using Safari on Apple OS 3.0, Blackberry using Opera Mini on RIM OS 4.7, and Android Incredible using OS 1.5. A current list of mobile devices that are supported can be found in the Information section of MD Consult Mobile. You can find this by using your mobile devices web browser to go to http://m.mdconsult.com. Click on the (Information icon) in the upper right corner, and select Device Configuration. Support for new devices and operating systems are added regularly.

Q. How do I access MD Consult Mobile if my subscription is through my institution?
A. If you have an institutional subscription and do not already have a personal login to MD Consult, you will need to create one.
To create a personal login, simply: Go to http:// www.mdconsult.com from a computer within your institution. Click on Create an Account on the top right. Complete the registration form and create a unique username and password. Then, click on Continue to submit your information. Logout of MD Consult. Using the web browser on your mobile device, go to MD Consult Mobile (http://m.mdconsult.com). Login to MD Consult Mobile from your mobile browser using your new personal login.
