Vasumathi Sriganesh, a librarian by qualification, is the Founder and CEO of a Trust -  "QMed Knowledge Foundation". The Trust's goal is to see that both health care providers and patients / consumers learn how to find relevant health & medical information from reliable information resources. Ms. Sriganesh and her team have conducted more than 100 workshops and lectures for health professionals on this topic and are now doing the same for non-medical people interested in learning to find health information - especially from the Internet. They hope that with these efforts, doctors and patients will work together with the best evidence based information
