In Every aspect of life we come across

How we forget something the next moment and on the other hand we never
forget something? As you learn more, you grow more synapses (Synapses
are conveyors of messages, emotions between 2 neurons which send messages
to the limbic system to carry on various activities). Conservatives
estimate that each neuron has 1,000 synapses that give the brain a total
of 100 trillion possible connections. That is why it is possible to

We only use 30- 40 percent of our neurons
as mostly all of us usually repeat the same activities. If you don’t
make proper use of your brain or underutilize or fail to stimulate it,
you may experience memory problem or difficulities in finding the right
word from the brains system. Therefore it is advisible to have as wide
a range of activities as possible- e.g. Reading, Writing, Outdoor games,
solving puzzles, Gardening, Watching movies etc.
According to National
Institute of Aging; "we can absolutely keep our brain as resilient
and young as it was when we were eight or ten years old”. Strenuous
intellectual exercises cause the brains of healthy people to become
stronger.
The more you learn,
your capacity to learn becomes greater. The more you put into your memory,
the more powerful your memory becomes. The ultimate creative capacity
of the brain, for all practical purposes, infinite.
We human beings are associated with
an Instruction cell i.e. Brain, which based on our education,
past experience or intuitions provides instructions – the most crucial
part of our central nervous system. It controls everything i.e. from
moving our little finger to remembering happy and sad moments stored
in past or future moments which are yet to come into existence. The
brain is in fact where your memory is located, and most of your activities
bring into play.
Memory forms part of your identity,
but does anybody know where is it exactly? Memories are not localized
in one specific place in the brain.
Practical Tips for nourishing your
brain:
- The best way to stimulate
the brain is to memorize anything using creativity, imagination, visualization
and picturization.
- Eat a high protein and low
carbohydrate diet.
- Feed your brain with positive
ions – spend time in parks, sea shore, mountains, open spaces, etc.
- Practice Pranayama and Meditation.
- Observe brain rhythms –
give 20 minutes break for every 90 – 120 minutes of mental work.
- Silence saves your energy
and increases brain power.
- Brain gets stimulated during
deep concentration.
- Brain impulses travel 5
to 10 percent faster in women. Women can process information and generate
solution to mental problems faster than average men.
